Redruth School joined the town in their annual Murdoch Day celebrations this weekend. Students from all year groups joined staff and governors in a colourful and vibrant parade. The theme this year was the 50th anniversary of the first lunar landing and students from the Art Club had worked on producing an out of this world Redruth Rocket, based on Apollo 11 , which and was carried through the town by students. The Redruth School Samba Band, ably led by student Toby E, created a wonderful sound for everyone to enjoy. Mr Martin, Headteacher observed "the students embrace this annual event in the town and it is always a pleasure to join them in the community".
