Exam Invigilator

11 – 16 Co-educational Comprehensive

Casual Exam Invigilators 

£14.20 per hour  

(includes holiday allowance of £1.53 per hour) 

We’re excited to offer the opportunity to join our team of Exam Invigilators at Redruth School. This is a fantastic chance to play a vital role in supporting students during one of the most important stages of their education. You’ll work closely with the Examinations Officer to ensure exams run smoothly and fairly, including mock assessments and GCSEs sessions.  

Examinations take place regularly throughout the school year in the form of mock exams and GSCEs.  We are looking for flexible invigilators who will be available for specific morning and/or afternoon sessions.  Attendance at regular training sessions and update meetings is essential for this role, as they provide invigilators with the knowledge and confidence needed to carry out their duties effectively. 

Duties include:  

  • assisting with setting up examination rooms  

  • dealing with queries in accordance with JCQ regulations 

  • supervising students during examinations and escorting them to areas outside of the examination room 

  • working unsupervised, under exam conditions, in individual classrooms with small numbers of students 

  • attending meetings/training sessions as required.
