Teaching Assistants

Fixed term, in the first instance, until 31 August 2022

30 hours per week, term time only (44.263 total paid weeks)

£17,840 (NB this salary will be proportionately reduced to reflect hours per week, term time only working)

We are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants to take a pro-active role in the support of the educational, social and physical needs of our students.  The successful candidate will support the curriculum and the school through the provision of assistance to the classroom teacher in the practical organisation of class activities and small group work.

Applicants will need:

  • the ability to work with young people
  • excellent communication skills
  • self-motivation and a friendly manner
  • a high standard of computer literacy and excellent organisational skills
  • to be passionate about promoting learning and achievement for all
  • the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • English and Mathematics GCSE grade C/4/NVQ level 2 or equivalent

37 hours per week x 46.784 total paid weeks per annum (to include 12 days during school holidays)

£17,840 - £21,528 per annum (this salary to be proportionately reduced to reflect total paid weeks)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed technician to work within the Science faculty providing assistance in the preparation of resources for lessons.  The successful candidate will also be required to provide support and advice to staff and students and work with, motivate and encourage students in their learning.  Experience and interest is essential, as well as having good ICT skills.
