RSC school!

Posted on: 11/11/2022

Great news! We are officially a Royal Shakespeare Partnership School.
We will be working with all the primaries and secondaries in the partnership alongside the RSC. Students will get the chance to create and showcase their performance work of one of Shakespeare’s Plays at The Hall for Cornwall in June 2023.

Four of our Year 7s were chosen to work with the RSC as part of a regional group that will be performing in June. Charlie S, Olivia D, Jonah S and Jemma C were all very excited to be taking part. They spent the day working on Twelfth Night and demonstrating their performance skills. They were excellent representatives of Redruth School and we were proud to see them working with students from other schools and taking pride in their own talents. KS3 watch out in the new year for more opportunities to work with the RSC!

What a creative time recently we have had in Drama. Year 10 created and performed their own version of the three witches from Macbeth. From 90's teenagers to wild and whimsical witches. Brilliant to see so many Imaginative versions.

We finished the week with the Year 11's GCSE performance evening. All pieces influenced by Bertolt Brecht creating thought provoking work. Well done, Year 11 - Good luck with the exam on the 30th!
