Food Fit for a Queen

Posted on: 26/01/2021

Some of our Year 7s have been looking into healthy lifestyles and baking up a storm recently.

This food technology project was balanced out with a theory element on one side of the scales and a practical element on the other. Students explored the how a healthy lifestyle can be a fine balance between diet and physical and mental wellbeing.

For the theoretical side of the scales, students created wonderful posters to help the NHS promote healthy eating and came up with some great suggestions of ways to get exercise and stimulate the mind and body, this was balanced by the practical side of the scales where with a pinch of enthusiasm and a sprinkle sugar the students made scones and Queen cakes.

We’re sure that all the family were more than willing taste testers of these culinary delights.
