Additional Intervention & Lesson 6

Our Lesson 6 programme is a set of extra-curricular lessons to support our young people with their academic progress. Where students are not making the necessary progress, we intervene and support with specialist staff delivering targeted sessions. The overall aim is for students to close gaps in knowledge or skills, allowing them to make good progress.

The sessions are subject specific and diagnostic in terms of addressing specific topics/skills. The school has a successful track record of successful intervention in all subjects, with students across both Key Stages. Therefore, attendance at the sessions is highly recommended for students to achieve their full potential in the long term, when final GCSE examinations are taken.
