Year 10 visit PALL Industries

Posted on: 20/02/2019

Ten very lucky Year 10 students got the chance to make a follow up visit to PALL after the engineers had come to speak to them at school.  Students had a complete tour of the premises, looking at all sections of work which are undertaken there.
They looked at the programming that goes behind the drilling and cutting machines and were then able to see the machines running the programme.

They also saw close up the air filters that are designed to work in fighter tanks to ensure the safety of the soldiers using them. All of the filter systems for fighter and commercial planes are designed and made here, and it was a real eye opener to see how complicated and detailed  the process is. Students also met the current apprentices who are training at PALL, two of which are former Redruth students.  A number of students came away keen to apply to become an apprentice after their GCSEs. We would like to say a massive thank you to PALL Redruth for the time they have taken to work with our students.
