The Eco Council’s main aim is working towards the 'Eco Schools Green Flag' award, while focusing on getting the school plastic free. 

Committee members recently conducted an environmental review, where the school's environmental strengths and weaknesses were identified. They picked out energy, litter, waste and the school grounds as key areas for improvement. The council have since voted and the two areas they will focus on this year will be reducing the amount of litter and waste the school produces. This will concentrate on recycling and eliminating as much single use plastic from the school as possible. The group are meeting the school’s Facilities Manager on Friday to discuss these options and how they can work towards achieving their mission statement.
